RMS Express P2P Packet not able to receive message

Kevin Noall 13 year бұрын updated by KM6KAQ 7 year бұрын 6
I'm getting an error message when RMS Express is tring to receive a Peer to Peer Packet message...
*** Link Error - Received data stream not correct format...
I'm able to send messages just fine.
I'm using an AEA PK-232mbx

I am also seeing this, using telnet winlink. I'm a little scared of this. Telnet winlink should be the easiest to get right and it's not working reliably. I see this error quite frequently.

Sorry, this is unrelated. I should not have attached a new comment. I don't think I can delete it. If an admin can, please do so.
AEA PK232 at client site also is giving problem in WL2K Mode. At least for us around LA3F-10.
I don't think it has anything to do with Peer 2 Peer mode.

It worked very well many versions ago., some 1.0. x.y version.
I think the issue is under investigation.

It is in RMS Express, it changes TNC settings to something goofy.

We stopped using RMS EXpress in Washington County, WI ARES because it is not reliable.

I am using PK96/100.  Have 2 TNC's, both have done that after latest updates.

Worked flawless before that.  Please get on the development teams butt to get this fixed.  I get no response on the yahoo group reflector..........

Seems if you don't have a kantronics they don't care about it.

I have seen this type of error message also, with latest RMS Express.
TNC is KPC3+ & both times it occurred, I had to delete the message and re-create it.

I am getting the same error

*** Link Error - Received data stream not correct format...

Im using the internal TNC on a Kenwood TM-D710GA.

This happens at 1200 and 9600 baud, with a very good connect to
a local node.

If I connect with Telnet, I can download the message.

Kenwood has no notes about link errors on their site.

Is this a WinLink problem?
