RMS Express decoding UTF-8 Char.set?

LA7UM 13 years ago updated 11 years ago 4
Down the wish list it may slowly become more of a request for RMS Express to be able to switch in decoding UTF-8 Character set, which more and more seems to be recommended as standard in EU.

To day we do a mixture.

RMS Express used to support unicode (UTF-8) in the email body part. This feature go lost somehow. It is very embarrasing to receive email replys stating "what are the many ? (question

marks) in your text for? Please give again UTF-8 character support in message body parts. Otherwise RMS Express will NOT be international.

Thank you

Still wondering about UTF8 in SUBJECT, Attachement names, AND IN THE TEXTREPORTING to APRS using Position reports.

I think it  is WINDOWS 8859-1 being used.

Most  web browser deal with the "guess work" , but not all applications. And many results in just ? for the EU letters.

UTF8 seems to be is the defacto standard now. (Outside US)
