APRSLink Error at Email End After /EX

K7FLY 12 år siden opdateret af Dave Rugh (KK6DXE) 12 år siden 3

Via APRS, I am attempting to use Winlink's APRSLink to send a short email message.  After entering several lines of destination, title, body text, and /EX, I get an error back.  (The system always promptly Acked avter the prior lines.)

I am using the APRSdroid app on my Android phone to send the messages to WLNK-1 via the internet.  Like I said, everything looks good until I end the message with /EX.

Does anyone have any ideas why this fails?

Thanks ... Reed (K7FLY)

Isn't  this intended to be sent by radio using a Kenwood Rig via a Gateway?

I have never tried it, so I might be wrong.

My understanding is that licensed hams can use the system.  In any case, APRSdroid is a good means for testing functionality because it eliminates some variables associated with RF links.  In my case, it was the means by which we discovered that two AORSLink servers were operating (in error) as masters.

So after you fixed the server config issue were you able to send an email via APRSLink from APRSDroid successfully?
