Please help

Shaun hace 10 años 0
Hi
I am getting extremely frustrated I have followed the instructions to get RMS working A few times but for some reason it wont work. I can connect to a station but my mail does not transmit from the out box. I have tried the Telnet route as well as the radio route and nothing seams to work. I realize that I might have a wrong setting somewhere but not sure where. The following is the result I get when connecting via radio.

*** Connected to WL2K RMS: ZS1RS @ 2015/03/07 05:44:42 USB Dial: 14107.500
RMS Trimode 1.3.3.0
ZS5S has 120 minutes remaining with ZS1RS
{SFI = 127 on 2015-03-07 03:00 UTC}
*** MTD Stats Total connects = 158 Total messages = 337
*** Disconnected from WL2K RMS: ZS1RS @ 2015/03/07 05:48:54
*** Session: 4.1 min; Avg Thruput: 49 Bytes/min; 1 Min Peak Thruput: 49 Bytes/min

Please help

RMS Expres. Packet module for KPC9612+ MIss count down while upload

LA7UM hace 13 años 0
While using KPC9612+ in Hostmode (Default) and doing huge Uploads, I only see the whole file as the number of bytes as a whole as Posted, and then some minor informative Packets Outstanding 17 to 13, the up again to 17, and so on.

If I force the KPC9612? into KISS mode, it offers means to check how far I come in the transfer related to the changing of the total number of bytes.

That is more like during a WINMOR transfer and gives a feeling of how the development is going.

RMS Packet Map Digi Positions

Tom Olley hace 11 años 0

First of all, great work Lee on the Google Map, it loads much much faster than SilverLight did. :)

Suggest a project for next year, to display Digi locations on the map (maybe a blue balloon) with callsign information. It would require the operator to register the digi with frequency and location information either in a web page interface to the database, or some other means. (self registration would make it easier for the operator to keep it up to date without need for emails to the WDT)
Last heard status of the digi can be monitored when the RMS Packet application detects a connection through the digi. I'm assuming RMS Packet knows the route back to the original station.

Timeout or dropping the digi off the map could be done if it has been detected that it hasn't been used to make a connect to an RMSP gateway after 3 months or sooner, at which point the operator would need to log in and reset the active status of the Digi.

For simplicity, I run a simple digi, not a node. I also advise local packet users to use only one hop to an RMSP gateway. I know it's slow, but in most cases in our terrain for packet users, individual gateways are not always reachable direct and the digi makes the difference of connect or no connect for Technician class operators.

The above is just an initial suggestion and there are several ways to implement it if the interest is there.

when trying to submit location report without time the location gets wiped

Sander Pool hace 13 años actualizado hace 13 años 1
gps position entry is a bit tricky (never seen that format before so copy/paste isn't possible) so once I have it as it should be it would be nice if it didn't wipe the fields clean on error. This is what happens when you fill in the location but forget the time (defaults to zero, really? how about at least current UTC or local time?) . You press 'post' and it comes back with an error, wiping gps data clean. It should not do that.

Please change the 'channel selection' dialog in RMS Express to non-modal

Sander Pool hace 13 años 0
The channel selection for packet connections (and perhaps HF as well) is currently modal. It would be better if it were non-modal so it can be kept on the desktop as the user fiddles to find a channel to connect to.

More linux support!

Winlink should be developed on all platforms if it expects to be a serious competitor.

RMS Pactor -- left window does not update connects in a new month

LA7UM hace 13 años actualizado hace 12 años 2
It seems that RMS Pactor  LA3F 2.2.3.2 does NOT indicate in the LEFT window a new completed connect november 1.

Scanning is working well with that version in our RMS Pactor LA3F.
Using WIN XP Pro and P4 Dragon.
